New Artist: Tomaso Clavarino

Born in 1986 is a photographer and director based in Italy. His works are published by major magazines worldwide. He produces independently researched projects, that have been exhibited in some of the main photo festivals, such as Cortona on The Move, Athens Photo Festival, Fotografia Europea, Les Rencontres d’Arles, Photo Kathmandu, Format19, Angkor Photo Fest, Encontros da Imagem, PhotoOpenUp, as well as in galleries and museum like Triennale Milano and MUFOCO. During the years he has received several prizes and grants such as: Premio Fabbri per la Fotografia Contemporanea, Cortona On The Move – New Visions, Refocus – Italian Ministry of Culture and Triennale Milano, Panorami contemporanei – Museo di Fotografia Contemporanea MUFOCO, and was nominated both for the Leica Oskar Barnack Award and the Joop Swart Masterclass. In Torino, Italy, he co-curates JEST, an independent space for photography and he is professor at European Institute of Design (IED) and other workshops and schools. He has published two books, Confiteor in 2018 by Zine Tonic Editions, and Ballad of Woods and Wounds in 2020 by studiofaganel editions. A new book will be out in 2022 published by UK publisher GUEST editions. His work is represented by studiofaganel, Gorizia, Italy.
