A2A: Artists to Artist Programme

The infrastructure of communities fundamentally relies on 1. Sharing of experience and 2. Bringing together groups of people to share that experience. As defined by the Merriam Webster dictionary, a community can be understood as:

A body of persons of common and especially professional interests scattered through a larger society.”

Part of the mission of the A2A, or Artists 2 Artists programme, is to source the scatterings, and bring communities of artists together— unified, to share the larger body of the UNCT marketplace. The A2A programme allows current UNCT artists to bring on new artists to join the community: thus sourcing the scatterings, and sharing the greater objectives and mission of the community. We value the relationship and discourse between artists, and creatives. This is a union that is often discarded, but has always historically made for the most interesting of connections and as a result, creations. As a community, we are excited for the novel and organic communions, connections, new artists, and new available artworks that will no doubt be birthed as a result of the programme.

The A2A programme will largely encourage visibility by platforming newly sourced artists on our social media accounts, sharing their works and names both within our community, our social media followers, and the world at large. Visibility and shared virtual spaces are both crucial, especially in the fast pace climate where images are dispersed and lost–– and common threads unbind and tangle. This will also be an opportunity for our artists to share their works, and gain new traction in a democratic way.

The A2A programme will give the opportunity to expand the community, platform creatives and encourage discourse: valuing the voices and input of our artists. This will no doubt expand the UNCT marketplace, diversifying our artists and available NFT artworks.
